Prof. Arnold Chukwudum Igboasoiyi

Prof. Arnold Chukwudum Igboasoiyi, former acting Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy University (June 21, 2012-November 30, 2017), is a pharmacist by profession and holds a PhD degree in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry. A University Scholar and National award scholarship recipient during his undergraduate years at the University of Ife, Ile-Ife.

Inspectorate Division Federal Ministry of Health, Yaba, Lagos (August–September 1978)

Internship programme, University of Ife Teaching Hospital 1978/1979

National Youth Service Corps programme Gongola State1979/1980

Chemical and Allied Products PLC 1980-1996 (worked initially as a Medical Representative and later as a Management Staff),

University of Uyo 1996 till date.

Performance Awards:

Received the best pharmacist award from Gongola State Ministry of Health in 1980 for outstanding performance during National Youth Service Programme.

Received award as the best medical representative in 1981 and shared honours in 1982.

Fellowship Award:

Fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (FPSN)

Research Interest:

Natural Products, Antimalaria Drugs Research, Drug Analysis and Quality Control, Synthesis.

National Service:

Member of Council, Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (2012-2015).

Member of Council, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (2012-2017).

The resource person of PCN for MCPD programme from 2007 till date.
